Broken rota rims gallery

Post by Alexmdb »

I compiled a pretty nice gallery of broken rota rims, though I plan to add the stories behind them on there pretty soon too. What's pretty humorous is my friend steeb38 (he's on here somewhere) found a photoshopped image on Rota's website! They photoshopped a lotus and a porsche into their factory image hahah!

Are they notorious for breaking or something?

Some of them are yes, specifically the circuit 8 IIRC

Rota doesnt use the best manufacturing processes on their rims. Light rims + Crappy material/crafstmenship = Fail.

Hence the price being relatively cheap. I would still buy em though. Just gotta take care of em.

They're made in the Philippines. They are what they are, less expensive copies of wheels. And I guess they're not bad for light use but they definitely don't stand up to the same harshness as real forged rims. They mostly use casting and on top of that they try to make lightweight rims, that's a scary combination.
