i emailed the seller to ask if it comes with the software , i wonder how it works.. is it just a megasquirt in a fancy ecu looking box to avoid the wire splicing?

Yea it's legit! There was a post on probetalk by Matt Cramer (SP?) about this coming out soon. Basically it includes our OEM 3 sockets, you then just make the connections to the right pins and it replaces the stock ecu. I wish I had of knew before I got mine from the PT BB.

I got this email from them, hopefully in a few months they will have a plug and play full kit.

Hello,

When fully assembled, yes, it's plug and play. The tuning software is a
free download. We haven't had a KLZE installation yet so we don't have a
complete diagram for the internal jumpers, but I can draw up a suggested
starting point if you need this. Documentation for it is online here:

http://www.diyautotune.com/diypnp/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We are talking to a couple MX-6 and MX-3 owners to see if we can get one
of the cars into our shop for testing and drawing up a base map for
these cars as well. Right now we do not have a complete base map, but it
is fairly straightforward to come up with that with a little testing
once it's on the car.

Thanks,

Matt Cramer

Doesn't it support the four plug style, suggesting it would do OBDII?

Anyways, bump to this thread. I know someone who's thinking about MS and this looks good.

OK I'll admit up front I've never used mega squirt nor am I totally familiar with the system. This I do know. Mega squirt uses the cam sensor signal from the disty but the OBD2 disty (1995 and up) have no cam sensor so you need to use the older disty (problem solved). Secondly, you'll need to redo the three wire plug as two of the wires are reversed so the older disty will work. Other than that why won't mega squirt work for OBD2?
