OK say you have a Mx3 gs with the 2.5 liter v6 swap with a turbo. Now if money wasn't an issue, would it be worth it to convert it to an all wheel drive car instead of the regular front wheel drive?
I'm just curious to see what you all think on this. Leave your opinion lol.

Re: Is it worth it?
If money REALLY wasn't an issue, and you could get an AWD viscous system, like the Lamborghini Murcielago, and you REALLY like the MX-3 that much, maybe. Of course, , then it could be argued that it's not an MX-3 anymore, given that not even the whole shell would remain from the original car.
But to make it a solid AWD system, I don't think so. You would lose all that makes the car what it is.

Re: Is it worth it?
If you could find the parts you could go AWD with a 323 GTX drivetrain. There would be some extra work adapting the V6 engine to the GTX tranny, but it could be done.
It would be worth it to me to have AWD and 300+ hp...but it is a lot of money.

Re: Is it worth it?
well how much horsepower can you get out of a mx3 with the 2.5 engine swap? and how much more can you get including a turbo?

Man I wouldn't even call it a K engine anymore, just about every internal component has been changed. 7.5:1 comp? Wow that is low, no wonder they boosted it out so much.marcdh wrote:http://www.offroadvw.net/bajawes/linktoV6.htm
