it really depends how I drive, but generally I get 26-28 MPG, and the only mod I have done is an air intake. I have not used my a/c yet, but if I do, the number drops to like 25. I drive a manual GS

I have a stock GS in good shape that gets about 32mpg with Ethanol gas, and 33 without Ethanol. It gets about 34mpg when I put 2¾ oz. Acetone in a full tank.
My fast car has a KLDE with many upgrades, and is about 190whp. It gets the same mileage. When I figure out how to tune the MegaSquirt, I hope to get 36mpg, or more. When I rebuild the transmission to put oin the LSD, I'm going to use taller gears, and hope to get about 38mpg. Both cars have A/C, and all power accessories. The fast car is heavier, until I put on the fiberglass hatch, and hood.

I finally decided to test my fuel economy, and I got 28 MPG city, with 2 quick highway blasts, not even driving that economically. This is running a KLZE with probinator chip, cheap CAI and stock exhaust apart from the muffler, but new O2 sensors and a new coolant temp sensor. But I was lucky and my knock sensor connection decided to be nice and it didn't throw a CEL, when the CEL comes on my mileage drops alot.

It's funny how we're getting much, much better numbers than the car's official rating. Its EPA ratings are 20 city and 25 highway.

Essentially, those sensors are about 15 years old.

Hehe yeah it is kinda interesting that the MX-3 can get quite nice fuel economy than what's stated. Most cars underrate their fuel usage leaving you disappointed.

Officially the Eunos 30x (MX-3) was rated @ 10L/100kms city and 7.4L/100kms highway.

I guess if you were in heavy traffic all the time and you planted your foot often, you might get the city figure or worse. It's all about the conditions you drive in.

I remember my K8 would get almost 500kms off 35-40L of fuel. Yet when I went on a road trip, it almost did worse. The highway was crappy and was not a highway. It was constant slowdowns and bends etc. Really didn't give better fuel mileage in that case.

I can't believe what happened today when driving on the US97

Driving pure highway miles I got an incredible number of MPG. I traveled a distance of 165 miles, and my fuel gauge was at 3/4. I stopped to get gas, since I though it might be a mistake since I usually only get 280 miles on a tank, but it wasnt. It filled up with only 4.5 gallons. If you do the math, that's an astonishing 37MPG from a V6 with no upgrades except for a ram air intake. I was in shock also because I was driving on uphills most of the time and with my window open to get lots of air as well as the fan on high (my ac compressor busted :'( ). add to it the fact that the car is 17 years old, and that I had about 200 lbs of extra stuff plus my 160lbs self and that the temperature outside was in the mid 90s, and you've got a puzzle.

I have heard that an engine gets the most MPG when the temperature is at optimal temperature, and the fact that the fan was on all the time provided an escape to the excess hot air....interesting
