mirrors from a MX-6

Post by MX-3-Tom »

Hi guys,

I disovered that the MX-6 mirrors fit the MX-3.
But there are different versions of the MX-6 mirrors.

Do you have any information or picture of mounted MX-6 mirrors on a MX-3?

Thank you!

The different versions:

The mx-6 mirrors in your German version will fit an mx-3. You only need to replace the base that mounts to the car from an mx-3 set.

Both of my power folding mirror sets are mx-6 mirrors with mx-3 bases.

I never did the research but I have always wondered if the variations are year specific or geographic location specific

for instance this set will fit on an mx-3: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWAX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The mirrors in the ebay-link are the same design like the MX-3 mirrors, aren't they?
They only are power folding.

But I am searching for other mirrors. The mirrors of the silver MX-6 above are my favourite. :)

The ones of the silver X-3 are longer and not so high. ;)

as I mentioned before... the mirror glass section is the same but the base is different

I don't know if the silver mx-6's mirrors will fit. In fact I'm not even sure if they fold in... :confused2:

and IMO I don't think the long skinny ones would look right on the mx-3... if you end up getting a set make sure you post pics I'm very curious what it would look like

I'll ask for the mirrors on a german MX-6 board. :)
Maybe we get more information.

Doesn't matter what the plates say...alot of vehicles over here in germany are not neccessarily Euro-Spec. Case in point, my US-Spec MX3 has german tags on it. My wifes RHD J-spec celica has german tags as well. Just a little FYI...
