Tweeter placement?

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

Just wondering guys... where is the best placement for a tweeter? I am going tomorrow to get prices on front speakers/tweeters, and an amp and am wondering where is the best place to put them.

Thanks everyone!

interestingly enough that's exactly where I was thinking of putting them :D

This local audio company (team nutz) is going to do my work. They do tons of local cars for a good price:

I have a set of tweeters I never got around to install, but I never wanted to make a hole in the door panel, especially not my JDM one. I wanted to install mine here:

The only problem with that location is there is no depth... and I was never good at custom fabbing things... :?

you've got less than half an inch to mount it since the mirror attachments are directly behind it...

The tweeters I got came with a mount, just need to have it bolted from behind.

The tweeters mine came with were pretty much just glued to the surface of that panel, so that's a possibility if you can't make it fit any other way.

It's pretty easy to install this stuff yourself if you want to save money.

Yeah I know I can do it myself, but they aren't going to charge me that much.. and I really don't feel like doing the wiring

they will probably do the wiring a lot better then I can (in terms of hiding it and snaking it through the doors)

well it's all done, and sounds great! I need to tweak the settings a bit more on my head unit, but so far it's great.

I'll post pics of everything tomorrow in the daylight
