Should I purchase an MX-3??????

Post by Motoxxx »

Hey guys, I'm looking at purchasing a 1993(or 1994) MX-3 at a tow yard tomorrow..... It's got some dings, whatever, and 150,000 miles. Minor b.s. wrong with it. Are these cars pretty reliable? I really like the way it looks, hahaha, and dont want to be driving a piece of s--- around aka: the tercel sitting next to it. ANY feedback appreciated. Props to all of the nice MX-3's by the way guys, I may be an addict soon!!! Thank You all again-

Do it. At first when my parents showed it to me I was all like "meh". Then I drove it.

:love2:

I'm still hanging on to mine even after The Great Jeep Cherokee fight of 2005. 156,000 miles and runs like a PRO. I took it to the redline TWICE yesterday and it was like "zoom zoom". The engine purrs, it's the other stuff (wheel bearings, CV joints, etc.) that needed changing.

And please, for the love of God, tint the windows. I hate the look of a untinted MX. Just my opinion.

Its my seccond biggest money pit.

I bought it, swapped a motor. Did sound, fixed all the broken stuff, swapped another motor.

But I did it all FOR FUN! haha, I'm freakishly addicted.

Do it, you'll love it. zoom zoom is right, this little car loves the twisties.

Looking at RS (4 cyl) or GS (v6)?

It seems unlikely that you'll get a significant negative response to your question here.

My answer was different. It was "If english is your first language, can you read and write proper?"

If "Yes"

Then buy the car! We'd love to have you around.

If "no lol i du no liek eglish rofl healp me or i insalt addmen"

then please for the love of God do NOT buy an MX-3!

But jokes aside (It's really not a joke)
I am glad you bought the car, you sound like a respectable gent. Welcome to the forum!
