Need Help! Big Mess! Help Guys!

Post by WhoaCarter »

So I decided to convert my 1993 dash to the 1994...Im new at this so where does everything plug in? :S
Also my windows wont roll down at all, When i first changed the fuse my drivers side went down a few times and now doesnt budge at all and ive never had my passenger window down ever! (certian way to do it or not)
I also bought a new spolier for my car with the brake lights built into it.......How or where should i wire the 2 power wires and 2 ground wires too?
Everything else is all done besides this interior and im so lost with it if you guys could help me out that would be awesome.
Thanks!

it looks like most of your issues can be solved with a simple multi-meter.
1. I don't know jack about power windows so I'll leave that for someone else. I have heard of an issue with the switch. Check the voltage drop across the switch in both positions. To make sure it's getting power.
2. Press the beakes and find the wires going to your brake lights.. hook the LED's (guessing) on your spoiler to those lights... done.

You probably have a newer (94+) window controller in your drivers door and if that's the case it isn't suppling power to the passengers window. I believe there's a write up in FAX on how to jump the switch to send power to the passenger window.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

If all else fails, something with black is usually ground. If there is only one wire, its a hot one.

The wiring diagrams from any year will work, as they won't have changed much of the body wiring between the years.
Now with Moderator power!

Black '93 BP RS - wrecked, parted, scrapped.
Green GS - Sold.
Black GS - Summer DD/Race car - Fancy KLZE
Red GS - K8-ATX -> MTX-KLDE - Frakencar. Scrapped
White GS - Rusty. Parts. Scrapped
1997 BMW M3 - my summer baby
2002 BMW 325Xi - sold
2003 Forester Xti - EJ20K swapped.

Lol apparently they're not easily interchangeable. A lot of rewiring required or so I hear.

i don't really understand what's to wire, unless you are talking about all the push button HVAC motors and stuff, in which case you should sell it to me :D
