Anyone heard of SpringTech?

Post by _-Night-Shade-_ »

So I was putting on new rims this weekend and this gave me a good opportunity to check out what struts and springs I had. I bought the car already lowered by the previous owner (I know cause he gave me the stock suspension) I just didn't know what he used. I was afraid it was something cheap and I think I'm right: SpringTech :lol:
I never heard of them and a search on the forum only brought up about 5 threads where the name is mentioned. Managed to find their website: http://www.spring-tech.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've heard of them before, I don't remember where, but I have.
I don't know anything about them though.
Do they ride nice, What's the drop look like?!
It doesn't matter if their cheap or not if you like the way they sit and feel.

See that's the problem - this is the first lowered car I've had or driven, so I don't even know what "good" springs and what "bad" springs are supposed to feel like. One of my buddies knows a guy with a modded civic that's lowered and he said the ride in that is much smoother than mine. However Mad Cow's been in my car and said it's not even bad compared to some of the other cars he's been in. LoL :dunno:

Yea your car is pretty good for a lowered car IMO. My friend had a lowered mx3 and it was just atrocious, much, much worse than yours. But then again his was lowered more than yours, your drop isn't too serious so the ride is still pretty good. Yours isn't even much stiffer than my stock suspension. Now if you could let me test how it handles... :P

Oh and by the way, I have a cluster dimmer for you.

Even stock MX-3 is rather bumpy. I've had H&R springs with Tokicos and it was well rough.

When I get a chance I'll take some pics for you guys so you can see what the drop looks like. I think it's just the standard 1.6" however the front end is slightly lower than the back, which I think is cause they're universal springs :roll: though some of you have that problem too.

The front is always supposed to be lower than the back to compensate for the weight of putting stuff in the trunk, you don't want to bottom out your rear suspension if you put something really heavy in there.
