Is it just me or does that make no sense? They seem crap but three guys have them and had no problems???

I would use Mazda genuine for the head gasket since it's hard to access without taking the engine out but valve cover gaskets, timing belts etc I would simply use aftermarket stuff like on ebay.

Whats the apropriate way to clean an gasket surface? I've been scraping my minor ones with razors, but I don't wanna mess up on the headgasket...

Holy... if you're going to go through the trouble of a head gasket, just do yourself a favor and go to Mazda for OEM s--- that you can trust

If you're swapping a low km motor, don't bother changing the head gasket IMO.

i mean seriously it cost about 120 dollars to get every gasket/seal from the dealership...

Why buy the cheaper stuff and save like what 50-60 bucks?

if you have acess to an aircompresser, or a drill for that matter, just use a wire wheel..should polish it up nicely

Ya I bought mine from the Dealership with 20% off. No probs. Install them with the proper silicone. Its used on every corner. I actually placed a very small bead on my entire head surface. No leaks for me. :) Once you apply the silicone your suppose to wait 15 minutes before torquing down the covers. Its in the manual anyway. Rockauto is pretty good to.
