KLZE/Tranny help

Post by FIMotorMX-3 »

Hey everyone, it's been an extremely long time since I've been on here. I sold the mx a while back to a friend and just recently the motor seized on him. No idea why. No leaks, no smoke but was running like poo and boom. Seized on the way to a mechanic. I haven't been able to help him with the new motor but he has since swapped in another kl and there is a slight problem. There is a 4 wire harness on the top of the tranny and he can't find the other end to plug it in. I'm assuming it's the tranny wire that everyone is talking about in the threads I have searched but he can't find the plug on the harness to plug it in. It's 10 oclock and I'm trying not to go over there if for some reason I can't find it either so I wanted to post up in here and see if anyone had any suggestions before I left. I can check from my phone but I wasn't intending on bringing the laptop to continue searching while working on the car. Thanks for the help and here is a link to someone's cardomain that shows the plug in question on the tranny pic.

For anyone who misses me which I'm sure there aren't many. lol, I moved on to an a4 and am a member of audizine now. But I do come on here occassionally to try and help my buddy out since he is driving my old car. I'm kinda curious to see what everyone's been up to so I'm gonna have to lurk a little and check out the progress on the OG MX-3ers..

Any ideas as to where that plugs into? I'm sure there's gotta be a spot on the harness or motor somewhere. If we have a general Idea as to where to start looking for where the other plug is for that harness we can atleast look in the right spot. The motor is already in the car and it's dark out by the time I get out of work to go help him. So it's already tough to search due to limited lighting. It's been two years + since I did this swap and saying I know the motor like the back of my hand is an overstatement. I may have known a lot back in the day but I can't remember where the damn plug ran through the motor to help him without being there and under the car.
