mx3 ze swap crank but no start

ok i just finished my ze swap with my mx3 thanks to escortluver and liledturbo. but now the motor wont start it cranks but it doesnt even sound like it combusting it just spins. were getting spark out of the plug wires andthe pump works so im pretty sure it gets fuel. we checked grounds to. we also switched in a kl46 ecu and still nothing. timing belt is dead on the marks. when we first tried to start it made some grumble out the exhaust but after that was all we could get. i have one of the coolant sensors undone cuz theres no hole for it but i dont think that is why it wont start. im using my disty from the k8 with hei so idk what is going on. any help is greatly appreciated

Do the plugs get wet after a bit of cranking? If they're wet then you're getting fuel and could've flooded it. Take out all the plugs and let it sit for a while, then try again.

i dont understand this. I took the plugs out and they have fuel on them and im getting spark but even if they were wet wouldnt it ignite? Ive tried every thing i dont know what else to check if it gets spark and it gets fuel shouldnt it at least start up?

Check compression on all 6 cylinders .... Also check the spark firing order.....
