Suspension for mx-3???

ok so, I bought a 93 mx-3, v6, but im doing a klze and a tranny swap, I have gutted the car, and Im in the middle of fixing rust. Now my step is thinking about suspension, but I dont even no where to begin. If anyone has any sugestions, please let me know!

I am in the process of deciding whether or not I want to sell my H&R setup (It's one of the best), and get full race coilovers. This could be what pushes me to do it. I LOVE how it is, but want the coilovers so I can corner balance the car. Do a search about the best setup. However, it's a matter of opinion, between a few setups. I'll be happy to answer any questions about my particular setup. It only has about 7,000 miles on it.

Depends on what you want. H&R springs are the stiffest springs you can get pretty much. So you have to decide on how only what kind of ride you want, but how low you want to drop it. As well you need to get struts to go with the lowered springs since you'll be underdampening the OEM struts and they'll blow in a short time. ZX/2 struts are an OEM type replacement than handle a dropped Mx-3

Why not get some Ground Control Coilover's paired w/ some zx2 struts. You should be able to do the entire setup (including camber bolts, and replacing all the mounts) for under $900. Coilover's are 400+shipping, and the zx2 struts are like 250. The best thing about ground controls over H&R is that you can pick the spring rate.

I'm also at this stage with my project/ze beast. It's lowered on some unknown springs, but it's so bouncy, shocks must be gone. Ksports/D2s look great, but mixed reviews. Lots of guys from Ireland run d2s (same as ksport), they say they're better than teins entry models, and alot cheaper to repair.

It all depends on what you want and how much money you want to blow.

Spring/Shock combo - some excellent options there for sporty street setup, at great value

Adjustable coilover sleeves or full adjustable damper systems (true coilovers) - options and prices vary, based on how serious you are about performance suspension

Also, things to consider: urethane bushings, strut tower bars, and swaybar upgrades.

If you are working on something that you will be using at the track, I suggest the AST coilovers. I have heard excellent things about them. For spirited street use, and budget track use, there are a number of spring/shock combinations that work very well.

Also, I have been working for a couple months now on having a local company to me manufacture a set of molds for me with which I will have my own bushing design cast in polyurethane. The link to that thread is here. No matter what suspension set up you use, the stock rubber bushings are self defeating in my opinion.

You must begin by taking the wheel off.
So, begin by turn the nuts just a litle bit while the car's on the ground.
Then jack up the car and turn the nuts of the weel complitly out.
Then take out the clips that hold the brake line and the ABS sensor.
Then take out the two nuts that hold the strut to the weel hub.
Pull the bolts out too. How? use your head
Then open the hood and take out all the nuts that hold the strut. Be carefull with the last one because the strut is going to fall on the floor.
Take that out carefully routing between brake line and ABS sensor.
That's it, your strut is out, you can do wathever you want with it.

Anyhow, Im looking for a good track set up, this is not a street car, track only, and as of right now Im not to familiar with mx3 suspensions!
