Quick question

on the intake manifold there is a small tube on the left that bolts on from the front three to the rear three intake tubes. does anyone here have any idea why it is like this and why they did not just make them like anyother intake like say an LT1 chevy motor? maybe a stupid question but would still like to know the answer if it is out there.

Thats the secondary VRIS tube. Basically once your car hits a certain RPM, a flap inside the manifold opens up and allows air to come into that tube and feed the intake manifold more air. There is a reason that the k-series motors do not use a run of the mill intake manifold like a "ls1". Read up on the VRIS system here:
