I have a MX-3 1.6 liter MT 5 speed
I was driving one day and my entire shifter rod came disconnect from then center console mounting point. After falling further down then its normal position.... I pulled it back up into place and it sounded like it locked back in... after a couple hours of driving. The shifter came out of socket again. I keep having to pull my entire shifter back into its proper position.... I would like to know whats wrong, what parts i need to fix it... Any information would help
- Brandon
Thanks =)

Peek at the underside, is the whole linkage falling through? I know its hard to look under these cars because they're so low.

Almost everyone I know has had their shift drop at some point. Common MX-3 problem isn't it. Dealer here in Canada said new part to fix is $65.00. The rubber mount just gave out.

Just so you know, I don't plan on going tomorrow... or the day after....
Okay, okay, I'm going both days!! but I need both the little flip up panels in the back, and the GS ties for the bottom suspension, and maybe a BP!

Now your trying to justify your dirty little habit. Actually I've gone a few times in the last few weeks. Got an extra OBD2 disty $50.00 and a KL02 vaf for $20 plus a bag full of interior parts. Felt like a kid in a candy store. Of course it was a very very necassary
