[GI] Midwest MX-3 meet and tune.

The weekend of June 20th I will be meeting up with my friend Jason at his farmhouse just north of Morocco, IN to get a large sum of work done to my MX-3 and hopefully get it very close to running. There is a large dragway across the street that usually has races that saturday that people could check out and i'm sure we could do a little work on other cars also. I will be coming down from Detroit and I might be having a couple of my mx-3 and maybe protege/323 buddies from Chicago and up in WI joining. If anyone would like to come hang out / show off cars / tool around let me know. I will likely have some pizza and beer there and if enough people came we could like work out some more food (i might need a little help if it gets big enough) if anyone is interested let me know. I'd love to meet some more of you from the forum and get some input on my car as we near completetion.

If you're talking about US-41 dragway, I'll try to be there. I might be able to get my mx working long enough to make it, haha. I was down there this past Friday for Streetcar Chaos, it was pretty interesting.

Maybe my brother and I won't get pulled over again. Its only like a 45 min drive depending on speed.

damnit!!!! i was there friday and saturday man! i wish i knew there was another mx-3 person so close.. i've been down there a lot working on my car the last year or so. what do you need for yours? i have my old mx-3 that i'm still tearing down for parts

Damn....I think we need to figure out these things ahead of time and not after, lol. Just like me and another person that were both at Hot Import Nights. Well as far as my car goes, um...I could use a new one? But I just need a head gasket and that "should" fix the majority of the oil burning.

I might be able to get the car done by then. I want to have it done by my open house on the 14th so its not a total disgrace on the driveway. Its currently sittin on 2 donuts out back. Gary, IN+ Roads= grandma's escort getting swallowed by pothole, lmao!

EDIT: Tim, you wouldn't by chance still have the engine out of your '94 would you? I went back to your old FS thread, It did run strong, but I don't know if you still have it or how much you'd want for it. That'll beat my temp fix anyday.

DANG! mardi Gras night is the 27th too!. I must resist going to the tract that much...it eats the wallet, lol!

Maybe the possible graduation money will fund the mx to completion or runnign correctly. Anyway, let me know the next time you plan on coming down too, maybe I can actually create a "schedule" and go to morocco.

the weekend of the 13th i'm going camping in northern mi and the weekend of the 27th i'm going to iowa with a girl i know... otherwise i'd joing one of those days. you know if you want to swap your car to Manual I still have most of the stuff you need just the trans only has 1st , 3rd, and 5th available due to a bent shifter rod. You should really consider keeping this weekend open to come hang out and if you can help with the car i'm always up for giving good deals on parts off of my old car.
