mx3 handleing

Post by xboxlivemonkey »

i have a questian about the mx3 handling , wiki say

"The MX-3 used Mazda's proprietary Twin-Trapezoidal Link (TTL) for the rear suspension. It passively allowed the rear wheels to turn slightly in order to enhance handling. It has been used on a range of Mazda vehicles, providing a smooth ride, yet delivering responsive handling while minimizing body lean."

but how can this be proven , the car handles very well but i want to be able to prove this

thanks

Strap yourself to the underbody of the car. Then have a friend drive at WOT around a curved portion of the road, and watch the rear wheels turn.

I requested a video a while ago, but it's hard to get. I'm going to have a friend shoot my back wheels turning, since my car has been modded for more responsive rear wheel steering. If you want proof, go around a corner (with newer tires) fast enough so it feels like it's going to slip, and notice when it feels like the turning radius gets smaller.

I don't know about you guys but I love the handling of my MX3, its the best handling car I've owned! I took curves doing 55 mph that I would have never dared to take at even 45 in my old cars, and it stuck to the road like I couldn't believe!
