Those lights are wicked! What a incredible look they give to the front end.

Steve says he has seen that these headlamps were a JDM option but I have never seen them....(not to discredit him but I would think I would have seen a set in all my searches) so I have decided to paint one of my glass sets black to look like the pic.

I posted a thread recently asking for pics of this:

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=64674" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Anyways before you get all excited - this will NOT work on USDM 9004 headlights housings. It will only work on the 2 piece H4 housings from every other part of the world. I will probably be painting my headlamps black this weekend now that I have a step by step process. I"ll post a bunch of pics as usual :D

for once it's good to be in UK :D My headlights will be getting this treatment .

Mr moon, what paint are you going to use? Satin/matt? I have vht that comes out matt, not sure if gloss would be a wise idea!

I was thinking that, what if you color keyed that type of headlight, to match the paint of your car, and keep the 2nd piece chrome. If I ever get a set of those type of lights, I'ld have it painted to match my Blaze Red paint. It would turn out nice I'd imagine.

More than likely I will paint them flat black since nothing else is glossy on my car :)

oh and good idea painting it the color of your car - I think that would look sweet!

Yeah Mooneggs, If I come upon a set of those lights, I'll make it my business to have it painted the same as my Mx. And it'll be nice to so the pics of yours when you do the same.
