I'm not 100% but Ksport and AST seem to be the other options for proper coilovers, which I beleive are from Europe! There's the koni insert with coilover sleeve option too.
Whisper bought ASTs, check out the thread - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=64098

You take out the OEM shock cartridge assembly and insert the koni into the stock housing, then secure with a bolt at the bottom. Then you could get the Ground Control coilovers with eibach springs, seems to work well for some

I hear Hotbits is also an option, but I was not able to gather much details about them yet...

Re: Best Coilover in the USA....
The Ground Control Coilover (pictured in Marcdh's post) with a good strut is well liked by the people who use it. It offers adjustability and corner weighting ability but is smooth enough for daily driving...or so I've heard. I plan to use it in the future.

Re: Best Coilover in the USA....
I did all the research. You can find my threads on coilover options.
Basically America doesn't produce good coilovers for MX-3, unless you get something custom built, but you can get that in Europe as well. Plus, it'll be more expensive to ship overseas. Keep in mind if you need to service/rebuild them, you'll probably have to send them back to US.
I got AST coilovers from Holland, and they're awesome.
You could try Tein coilovers for Ford Probe GT, they should fit with some spacers in the knuckle. Although sold in US, they're not a US product. HotBitz are supposed to be decent for the track, but I hear they're rough for daily driver. Also not a US product.

Re: Best Coilover in the USA....
mx-6 ones will work
there are no good coilovers made in america for the mx-3 everything is from europe or asia
D2 and bilstein (not sure on spelling) make kits that can fit the mx-3 also
