transmission mounting bolt/nut

Post by shameem »

Some of the nuts that are welded to the frame (for the transmission-mount-bolts) have stripped and atleast one nut has completely detached from its welding points and is spinning freely. Is there a way to get to those nuts without cutting any body panels? like from the wheel well?

Eugh one of mine broke in half for the engine mount x member, still welded in! Took me 45 mins to carefully dremel off the 3 tack welds! Sounds like you got a worse deal :( Can you not just remove the wing?

Do you mean the fender? I did that (briefly) - but it seemed that the frame would be in the way and somehow the nut is tacked on the inside of the hollow frame.......
