My Ride.. Closing soon.. moving to worklogs
Alright, I thought it was time to post a pic and maybe a little background.
So, she's a 1996 (canadian) RS. I bought her about 5 or 6 years ago for ~$13,000. She only had 56,000 Kms on her and she was mint. I've been "creepin" these pages since I've owned my mx. So, while not totally ready to do a work log, here's some old and new pics. Please be gentle, there is much work still being done.
The paint I was lucky enough to get from Se7en. I did not want to be sporting the primer-ricer look. Nothing against primer, just not on the bumper alone. She still needs another coat or 2, wet sand and the clear.
And the current state of my basement
Here's hoping the turbo gets done within the next few months. I won't have to neglect the interior any more.

Sweet! I'm jealous. Looks like you're a little closer to being turbo than me.
How big is your intercooler?

Re: My Ride.. Under construction
Thank you. I figure it's cheaper to do it right the first time. This has been a really slow process though. I've had my turbo now for a year. It just kills me seeing everything in boxes and not on the car. Still need 370cc injectors, piping (intercooler and exhaust), pump and afpr.mx3autozam wrote:nice trubo parts there, and good stuff too..looks like your not screwing around.

Re: My Ride.. Under construction
I've been looking into those, but I have my heart set on either aeromotive (now that shameem has found me the rail fitting) or synapse engineering.

The interior is a little too much ricer bling for me, but hearing that you'll be boosting the 3, makes it not as bad. Can't wait to see the after pics.

Re: My Ride.. Under construction

Re: My Ride.. Under construction
Just cheap ebay seats. Shipping is so damn expensive to Canada. The rails are just heavy guage 2" wide steel flatbar. They are not the nicest things in the world, but they work exactly as they should.rekognize wrote:what kind of seats are those? did you have to mod the rails?
I am well aware of what the inside looks like. I will be directing my attention to it after the turbo and tuning is done. Well maybe b4 the tuning, I don't need the snide remarks from the guys at the shop.JustinStrife wrote:The interior is a little too much ricer bling for me, but hearing that you'll be boosting the 3, makes it not as bad. are you going to drop her a bit? With those rims she looks like she is floating in the air.
