Mx-3 vs 240sX
Well I fell in love with 96 240SX (I like that body style) and I was thinking about maybe getting rid of my mx-3 maybe trade it in for 240 and go with RB25DET or RD26DETT setup. I just cant make up my mind.

My brother has a 1995 Nissan 240sx, and it's a good car too. The nice thing about it is that it's RWD, which is nice for drifting in the snow lol. Fun little car too.

Re: Mx-3 vs 240sX
nice - if I ever get into drifting, the 240 is what I'll be getting... sorry to hear you might be giving up the mx-3

I compltely agree. I perfer that body style and love to get one as a drift project to, but in that body style they're still a little pricey for something that I'd be rough on, but definitely nice cars. My sister's boyfriend bought one a few months ago. It's got low miles (but an automatic) but he'll probably just put a turbo on the stock motor and do a manual/swap later on. I'll probably end up going with an imported JDM Turbo II FC, you can get those for like $3000-$3500
I know how you feel. I could never get rid of the Mx, but I need something RWD, cause well, it's RWD, lol, but I'd get it and keep the Mx. You seem to have a fair amount of cars, that may be be possible in your case, but as nice, fun and tempting getting a RWD car is, I know, and you know, you'll miss the Mx

Re: Mx-3 vs 240sX
only way to resists 240sx is probably would be to get a ze for my mx-3. I already have RWD Cobra thats fast, just thought Id get faster car. With our winters I need something FWD or 4x4 though.

agree...actually I don't think 240s are thAt fast they are great for drifting though, but where I am now its like 9 degrees in June, feels like winter almost f
AWD does the job all year long, WRX is prolly all anybody would need to be king on the streets. Was sitting in my workmate's WRX specR1 the other day, I had my eyes open..never thought a car could turn like that.

Re: Mx-3 vs 240sX
I've never driven a 240sx, but if I wanted RWD again, I'd go back to the RX-7. My GSZE performs slightly better than my RX-7 did, though. I miss the oversteer, but never got into drifting even though I was good at it (I learned to do it right at the Bondurant school).

RB 240's are done to death.
Sure they are tried and true... and quite cheap, but everyone and their dog has done one.

Re: Mx-3 vs 240sX
I agree. While the 300 has a lot less room to work in the engine bay... They are dead sexy. A while back I was going to import a fairlady, just like Se7en. The down side to importing is that you will never be sure of what the last guy did to the car.94drumx3 wrote:lol! nicely put

Re: Mx-3 vs 240sX
i got my 87 FC for $1000 and it was already setup with Tokico struts and springs, Apexi Exhaust and Enkei racing rims. and they are VERY easy to work on. i want to totally learn how to drift in it - and while i do like the early 90's 240 body style - IMO the FC wins the curve for having the styling years before Nissan could get away from the boxy styles.
