Well i have done alot of work to it so far that i havent recorded but i thought i would make a Worklog for the rest of the work Im going to do to it.
Basicly my Grandma died awhile back and she left me some cash and now i can finaly touch it :) and :( anyways i have created a list of things Im going to buy for my MX-3 (Nickname - Silver Surfer).

The Flat-Bed Truck came today from the Tranny Shop and took my car away from me... Till Friday :)

But it was sad to see it in a wheelchair crying as it was taken away from me :(

So i got the bill for my car today (And no its not fixed yet) but lets just say the main things from the list i was given,
Re-built tranny and new Differential... Otherwise there are tons of small parts....

Basicly im looking at $4,000 After Tax.

I cried today... :crying:

Wow, why so damn much? You can get a tranny from the wreckers for a few hundred and get them to put that in. I don't think even my custom tranny will cost me that much, $4000, just wow!

should have sourced parts/replaced them yourself or something meh you live and learn :shrug:

I converted to manual, and the price including buying all the parts was still under $500.

$4000 is a rip off. sorry to hear that.

btw: is that an automatic you are fixing?

Basicly i told them to shuv it... I'm taking my car back home and im gonna buy either a brand new tranny for $2,000 or get a junkyard one for a few hundred then get a friend to put it in at his shop...

All i can say is i hate mechanics...

As much as i want a Manual the fact is around where i live there is way to much traffic and traffic lights for a Manual... Ill never make it past 3rd... :(

I get my car back Thursday from the tranny shop thati found was real cheap... So cheap i was able to buy a BRAND NEW Tranny...

Anyways im excited :)

Got my car back today and well lets just say its nice to have a brand new tranny but those freakin idiots drained my oil and didin't fill it back up or tell me it was dry so i drove it around today luckly i found out in time before major damage happend.

Btw: I updated my list of to do.... to save money and for more preformance.

UPDATE: Yesterday i did a little paperclip scanning and i found 3 parts i need.

1) MAF Sensor
2) EGR Valve
3) Fuel Pressure Regulator

So basicly all my work is on hold till then *I also did some work before this so my to-do-list is updated, and pics are comming.*

ah i see u removed the air box compeltely, ive left the bottom 1/2 of mine on, only problem is the stock bracket wont fit now...hmm cable ties wont last foreva! :cry:
