It goes *inside* your ECU. You need to de-solder and re-solder this chip inside of it. If you look into how the "Probinator" chips are done, you'll see exactly how it's done.

Becauseyou have a 92, there is a good posibility that your ECU isn't chippable. Although for the Probinators what's suggested is to take the ECU appart and give him the part number on the chip, the rule of thumb at the moment is that if the top layer PCB is full length, it's not chippable, and if it's 2/3 length, it is. Apparently it's common with '92, to have these "non-chippable" ECU's. Mine wasn't, but I got a $15 K8 ECU off ebay (before i thought about getting the probinator chip) planning for my Megasquirt project and I lucked out and it was the right one. I'll just use my 92 ECU for my MS.

if the what is full lenght? there is nothing connexted to my ecu, its just plain

ok, last post, i promise, so how do i knwo what direction the chip goes in?

one side of the eprom will have a notch.

I rechip an old ECU using one of that ebay´s eproms and the car run in good shape but the gas milleage becomes down, less than 250Km with a tank....
