95 precidia 4cyl

Post by mx3_gp »

I just bought this car. I really like it and want to do it all up, but where do i start. I has NO pick up and i would really like some more hp in the first couple gears espcially. Where should i start, or is it worth it to try on this engine?

would appreciate any opinions. thanks

Check out the 4 cylinder FAQ's, there's tons of info on this type of thing. If your mx3's a '92 or '93 it should have a 88 hp SOHC, and if it's '94++ it's probably the 105 hp DOHC. Regardless, not very much power.

One of the most popular ideas seems to be to swap in the Mazda BP engine. It has a higher stock power rating, and can be a relatively plug & play swap. Do some searching, and you will find all of what you're looking for.
