I have searched and found no definitive answer. Can I use the obd2 harness or does it actually have to be converted over???

there are osme obd2 kl-ze but ecu will not fit, you would need the harness and i doubt you will be able to get that.

anyway if you'Re obd2 just swap a mx-3 obd1 harness and use an obd1 ecu.

so this means that it is not worth it, just too bad, I have the engine, ecu and trans. This car is perfect from the interior and body. Damn ODB2

Or you can do what most OBD2 owners do. Swap the KLZE, use the K8 ECU, and use the KL02 VAF. It might not be optimal, but it will run fine, and still make plenty more power than the stock K8 engine.

I just did this exact swap 2 weeks ago!

I droped in the KLZE, used the K8 egr, all the stock klze sensors. Im currently running the k8 ecu and je-50 vaf but im ordering a kl02 vaf.

I will eventually convert to obdI just so i can run a probnator ecu with proper vris point.
