Q about part name

Post by Stoney89 »

I had to replace my header because it was cracked and i was wondering what the big cylinder thing is that the header is bolted on to? I was told it was a catalytic converter but it doesnt look like one. :?:

Probably is a precat. Some cars came with a precat. I don't know if ours did though.

If you have a 94+ or a california model yes its a cat. If your manifold has short runner and dumps into about a 6in diamater cylander than yes its a cat.
