im not sure what to buy, im pretty sure my disty went out, and i think i should get a new one, and then figure out how to do a hei mod, but i dont really know what to look for (still a newb at cars), could anyone help me?

Usually the ignition module is the one that fails (in the disty) and the HEI mod is supposed to replace that defective module. Unless you are entirely sure that the Cam Angle Sensor and Ignition Coil (rest of the disty components) is toast you can probably safely do the HEI mod and salvage your disty.

i looked at the faq for the hei mod, and im a little confused, im not really sure what to do with it though...
