Ya, that's what we we're thinking too, but last year, he posted a similar thread as well
As for what it's worth...
Checked on autotrader. Found a 93 GS, one with 190'000kms for $2,495.00 and another with unknown milleage for $2,850.00.
The most expensive Mx-3's listed we're 2 '96 GS's at 4,995.00. They have 115k-135k on them
For mods that would add value would be your new paint, SE interior w/heated seats, a ZE, and a second set of rims.
I'd say on the low-side, $3500, on the high-side, $4500. And that would be my unprofessional opinion

Good points Ian!!!Deimos wrote:remember that a pre-modified car would immediately lower the price in many people's eyes....
would you honestly pay good money for a car from a young guy who's modified it? all that tells you is that he beat the hell out of it. that's why so many people make more money on the partout
But in my case, what would you value mine at?? Garaged for the last 12 years, never really winter driven (1/2 of one winter), never beated on, extremely well maintained, over $15,000. spent on it in the last 3 years.
Sorry, Krish, didn't mean to jack you thread.

For Johns...hmm
Mint 92 Mx3. never winter driven. ZE, Full kit with JDM bumper and fogs, rims, mint SE leather, and old mandriver![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
However, it's still a 92, and John smokes
On the low side, $3900, on the high side, $5500, maybe even $6000 because it's condition would be much better than a 96, because it'll be typically driven year round and exposed to our car-unfriendly winters.
Ian is right, mods can lower the value of a car, but the value is essentially in the eyes of the buyer, depending on what they want the car for. If their comparing what is included compared to a stock Mx-3, than yes, but also being modded, you loose functionality, lowered with a a kit and nice rims usually makes it unacctractive as a yearly driver. If you have someone who knows what their looking for, than you'll get good money, but nowadays, Mx-3's are so old that they're really only bought by students and such because if their low cost, and this that's what they'll be looking for, a cheap Mx-3. If people have the money to buy a high-value Mx-3, they will have other, possibly better cars (comparing stock for stock) available in that price range.

MX-3's are dirt cheap now regardless the condition they are in and keep in mind that just because some people list their MX-3's for $2500-$5000 in the Autotrader doesn't mean they actually will get that much for it. Sadly the demand for MX-3's isn't really there any more, all MX-3s are over 10 years old now.
