ROTM section
I think, that we should have a ROTM here on mx3.com with so many members. In case you dont know what that is it is a Rider Of The Month and ppl can vote on what mx3 should be ROTM and maybe have a small section for it on the Forum page. Many sites have this and I am sure ppl would like it!!

Or maybe a prize for supporting members that get their car chosen for this most dubious of honors
For that matter.. maybe only a ROTM section for supporting members

Sounds like a good one, it will help ppl support the community and website. I hope Jeff sees this soon and takes it in a good suggestion!Tunes67 wrote:Or maybe a prize for supporting members that get their car chosen for this most dubious of honorsFor that matter.. maybe only a ROTM section for supporting members

meh probobly won't see it. I've been waiting a month almost for him to post up the 10th annual toronto meet in the mainpage. he's a busy guy and probobly doesn't have time for ROTM Unless someone else does it. I like the idea. But will it work have people vote. then obviously people like me and Jordan with modded cars but oh so stock looking are never gunna hav a chance. people who have body kits and stuff will always win.solo_ryder wrote:Sounds like a good one, it will help ppl support the community and website. Not nessecarily. We could have best Sleeper of the month, best show car of the month, best none mx-3 car from mx-3 owner of the month, best ICE of the month, best engine bay of the month hahaha...
Also, i'm sure one of the mods could arrange this. Really all you need to do is have one guy who sais "ok, this month is best show car" then people pm him to be considered, and he makes a stickied poll with all the cars, and a car domain page for each car, or info of some sort. Then people vote, and at the end of the month, bingo. You have show ROTM. Next month woudl be something different.
Or, the mods could all get together and decide that way rather than a public pole, and have a suprise at the end of the month.

I can see your points, but on many other forums I have seen just clean cars win, I am into that a clean MX with minimal styling. If someone gets ROTM they should proly not get voted for again in a 6-12 month period. I think that someone who organizes this (mods or whoever) can pick 5 ppl's cars and then have a poll (hidden results if possible) then see what happens. One or two pictures per member and you should be fine. I think this can work, it sure as hell works on other forums and with us having the same cars it is not always biased to ones that are abit more of a rarity and more expensive. Lets do it

Unfortunatley Jeff hasnt had time to set it your banner.
As far as ROTM, its a great idea, but prizes, now thats a different story. We dont make enough in donations each to pay for this sites hosting, let alone prizes. I doubt Jeff will pay for that also out of his own pocket.
Curious, why do you need a banner for a meet?

I like the nominate and vote. Mods set the monthly parameters and post the initial post, one vote per member, and cannot be RTOM for 12 months if you win. There are alot of possibilities for what the parameters are so it should be fun and available to everyone.
show car
tuned car (race prepped, drag or track)
clean car
OEM- non modded (or very slightly)
worst car- dirty or damaged
over 200,000km
engine bay
stereo
etc.

i'm not complainging about him taking awhile, but using it as an example of how busy he can be, if we do a ROTM all teh moderators would have to orgainze this.Custommx3 wrote:Unfortunatley Jeff hasnt had time to set it your banner.
