It would probably cost you a decent chunk of cash to get a set if infact they do fit.

I highly doubt it they will bolt right in, maybe if you changed the rails they may.

I wish the MS6 seats said mazdapseed on them.

What's the deal with the MazdaSpeed sport seats that Corksport sells?

Image
Price: $873.00

Their site is the only place I've seen them. I don't even know if Mazda themselves sold these. I haven't seen them in any pictures whatsoever inside of cars. Not even on CarDomain ... Corksport however also sells seat brackets for them to fit into MX3s:

MAZDASPEED Seat Brakets (pair)
"Needed to install Mazdaspeed seats, direct fit for the MX-3. "
Price: $120.00

Miata.net has product reviews of the MazdaSpeed seats though. Gives some actual insight into the possession of these beauties

I'd say you'd need to switch from seatbelts to race-harnesses however:

As a new owner of a Mazda3 I can tell you that the seats are a good bit higher than the MX3 seats. So assuming the seats themsellves would fit, you woud have to completely rework the base in order to utilize the seats for a Mazdaspeed3 in your MX-3

Also be aware that the seats in the 3 have airbag stuff in them. If you get them from a modell that has side airbags they are located in the "outboard sides of the front seatbacks"
{sigh} Time to move on
Out with the old: Tropical Emerald MX-3 GSR (KL-DE)
In with the new: Phantom Blue Mazda3s GT

when i got my racing seats i was too cheep to buy the rails to make them fit so i fabed up some of my own using 1/8 x2" steel. the racing seats are about six inches taller than the stock seats id imagine if you just fabed up some thing yourself that the MS3 seats would fit fine .... now finding a set for under 800 might be harder ecspecial because the car just came out alittle bit ago.
