I have bought some GEN 2 mirrors, much the same as the M3's but a slightly different shape. They came with a fitting kit but no bolts but a quick visit to the hardware store fixed that.

Only problem I did find is that the mounting plate is about 5/6 mm smaller than the old one, leaving a gap in the window seal which I did not notice until my front foot well was full of water... and yes I do mean full! Easily fixed with some sealant, but not something you want to find out after!

I bought my G2 mirrors off ebay after seeing them on here. I just installed them.
And I did apply sealant thanks for the tip wilko.
I love the look but the reflective surface is kinda cheap it looks a little warped near the edges.

Color of mirror

Post by racer3v »

I noticed yours are blue at night. Is that a standard or is there an option for the color?

I bought mine off of ebay too. Mine ahd an option of blue or amber. Theyre three small LED's so you can't even see them during the day. They are power mirrors, but the LH side only goes up or down, and the RH side only goes left or right. Yes they are a bit smaller, but like the other guy said, a little sealant does the job.
