SRD Performance Going Out Of Buisness?

Post by Nd4SpdSe »

Seems that they're slowly discontinuing their line of products. No control arm bushings, the e-brake handle and front crossmember are no longer available either. Anyone know what's going on? Personally, it would of been nice to know if they were discontinuing their items so people could order while they had the chance, and order current items as well.

Good question, but I wouldn't call it going out of business. Luke seems to have fits and starts with the MX stuff and it has been slow. If he has Decided to stop offering parts it is because he has found other things to occupy him not b/c he isn't making any money. I'm sure he's done well enough with the effort. I would like to know if he stopping production on MX parts so that I can personally thank him for all the effort and support over the years. I've not gotten to meat Luke, but he is definately on my list of MXers who I'd like to shake hands with.

Tried to e-mail Jeff many weeks ago about posting a "last chance order" message in the vendors forum and never got a reply from him and was too busy to do any follow-ups.

The real job, family, racing and zillion other hobbies/interests are leaving so little time to take care of SRD. Sad to let it go after all these years but it ain't as fun as it used to be ... and no time to develop new parts besides one-offs for the race car.

Still have some limited inventory of 3rd link bushings, bronzoil bushings and extension rod bushings.

Could maybe consider a last chance buy-out on selected discontinued parts if volumes are high enough to afford the setup charges without hurting the piece price. With the admin's permission could try to setup that last chance buy (& donation to mx-3.com).

it would be cool if they set up some sort of buy for all the shifter bushings or even all the bushings they have, so one would buy a set of all the SRD bushings that are still available at a reasonable price.

Sad to see you do that Luc, you've been such an inspiration to me over the years. Your parts are grade A+ perfect and I love them all. Thanks for your MX support and inginuity (sp?).

All I wanted from them was the E-Brake Handle, but when I emailed them they said they didn't carry it!!!

luc your parts with be very badly missed... i still had hopes of some of those rear end parts you made for your car... would have been amazing with my AWD setup... i have your CA bushings in the front... i can't use the shifter bushings because i have a cable shifter now :) . I really want the front crossmember but i'm not sure it will fit with the driveshaft and AWD tranny... i should know in a few more weeks though
