interesting, what size of motor is coming out of the 626? as ive seen
them here with 1.8's and 2.0's in them.

Id use the k8 as a short block swap and swap all the 626's intake, dizy
and radiator nose ( think there's two sensors on it for ob2 ) and
you might have to look at the fronk crank angle sensor?

else everything is the same. ( in theory )

if she runs to rich you could swap in the k8 injectors as they are rated
less than the 626's ones.

If its what I think it, that 626 has a KLDE 2.6L v6. You really want to put your 130hp 1.8l v6 in a car that had a 165hp 2.5l v6?

I think it could be made to work, if you swap over all the 2.5 sensors and accessories. The only problem i think you will run into is that you wont have an obdII ecu to match the k8. I dont know how hard it would be to source one, or how the motor would run with a kl ecu.

well im giveing him the motor for free so, a 30hp lose is worth it right? and the KLDE ecu on K8's run like s--- ive tryed it already. But i still need to find out will the k8 euc plug into the odb2 harness? and what can i do about the extra O2 sensor? has anyone else tryed this before, ive herd of i guy on here that did itbut wonder how it went...hmmmm :?

just go grab an obd1 wiring harness

No, the obdI ecu will not plug into an obdII harness.

In theory, if you put the K8 into the 626 and use the K8 injectors (~170cc) in the 626 IM the 626 ECU should run it much better than if you just swapped the IMs and kept the stock 220s.

As for the extra O2s, just use the exhaust manifolds from the 626 and you should have the correct locations for all the O2s.

For the intake, i would recommend keeping the K8 one with it's injectors.

Swap the 626 coil packs and remove the K8 disty.

Swap 626 crank pulley and sensor.

The rest is just basic plumbing, and a K8 in a 626 is like a FS in it !

Save all the trouble and just put a KLDE in it already
a 626 with a K8?
Oh man, can you say SLOW!?
Isnt it also ILLEGAL to put a older year motor onto a newer year car?

Even since its for free I dont think its worth it. Espically seeing how the resale value will drop

why would it be illegal? also who would find out.. the block looks the same.. lol just do it already if its a daily driver and you dont care about performance.
