Drive it too hard and anything will blow. It dosent matter if its a ferrari or a geo firefly.
But I can tell you, there arent many people blowing bp's. They are very stout engines. Ive had mine for years now boosted and its holding up just fine. Even though mine is a bpt its still basically the same, just lower compression pistons. Bps are good motors. You just cant abuse anything or it wont last. I dont baby mine but I dont abuse it either.

Also.. youd save trouble just getting a rs mx3 and putting the engine in that then you would switching from a 6 to a 4 cyl.. Just fyi.

NOTHING is the same under the hood.

The GS also have a few suspension bits worth using though.

My BP when i first got it had about 180k miles on it, and it took abuse and ran fine up to the point i sold it. I can not tell you how many trips down the drag strip and how long it spend on thetopside of the rpm band, but lets just say it took a lot of abuse.

I also overreved it to about 8.5k one day and it kept chugging. I sold it not long after that though but from what i know the guy who bought it still have no problems with it.

yea i guess u cant expect much to last if driven hard but i do thats the hole fun lol well i dunno crap about the 4 cylinders i thought all id need to really do is change tranny, engien, harness, ecu, mounts, and other stuff like maybe rad and all.. so maybe its just better if i bought another KL and maybe do some internals or w/e and just boost that?? im just looking at all my options i need a new engine and the BP seemd to be stronger and have more potential then the V6 engines.. but it all depends how much money itd be to swap over to the 4 cylinder if its alot than i can easily build a strong as hell KL and boost it and make alot of power that way

thanks for the help!
