304 SS exhaust system

Post by CorkSport »

Hello All,

We have been toying around with the idea of building a 304 SS exhaust system for the Mx3 for a while now but I wanted to get some feedback from everyone here before we do or decide to build it. We have a design drawn up already with the specs being 2.4 ID piping, canister style of rear muffler and a resonator in the middle of the car. The system would be polished and use a 100mm tip. We are estimating the exhaust system would be $399. What do you think?

Thanks
Derrick

$399US thats roughly $450CDN thats not to bad.

My questions are.
1)Can we buy it WITHOUT a muffler and without a resonator
2)Can it be made in 2 1/4" Pipe instead of 2.4"
3)Whats the S&H going to be like to us Canadian folks.

I am very much interested providing i can get it in 2.25" and i do not have to use the provided Muffler/Resonator

304 SS has better resonance and thus the exhaust will flow better (more HP than steel). It won't rust and is very strong.
I'm not in the market right now, but it sounds like a nice exhaust for a good price with the muffler and resonator included.

If you are using the Protege AWD gas tank the exhaust system wont fit the 4wd setup due to differences in bends on the system

Thanks for the feedback on this everyone.
