hey im wonderig if the 94-95 rs mx3's mass airflow censors will work on the 1993 mx3 1.6liter? trying to get rid of the huge mass airflow censor?

U need it to run the car ur stuck with it unless u put a standalone witch cost from $500-2500 or a map conversion kit which cost $700-1000.

So trying to get rid of the small vane airflow meter is out the ?

im in the oshawa area. how about you.. and i was wondering if i can use the mass air flow from the 94-95 rs not if i can get rid of mine

Nope, the ECU's are of diffrent OBD systems. As in the computers are not compatable. Although there still is an option

You can sawp on a larger VAF from a older RX-7 if you do some reserach on your own you can see which on is the direct swap.

whats the ponit of this. Ur stuck with the VAF in tstock form unless u convert to a map setup or some kind of standalone. Unless he goes one of these routes or another getting rid of the vaf is out the ?. so why am i qouted must be some reason behind it cjthor am just curius,

hey thanks for all the info im going to get the injectors and vaf from a protege tommorrow ill let you guys know how it works

hey how come the vaf of the protege looks exactly the same as my 93 mx3? is it even worth changing?

it looks like it same size but a few guys have mention like this guy

change my 93 mx3 1.6 VAF for the 90-94 protege VAF i was told i would get a bit more from that one but it looks exactly the same as mine. do you think it would be worth doing?

if you're grabbing a VAF and injectors get the throttle body from the car too. It's a bit bigger and a direct bolt on.
