Mid 14's are pretty average for a ze mx-3, so not a bad time at all.

hmm well consider altitude... oh i got my underdrive pulley.. imm install it next paycheck :) I hadnt done it because i didnt think it make any difference.

I got no ac and tons of mods.. however im at over 3000 feet.. Im sure you are close to sea level than me.

I got bad motor mounts, was running de ecu with k8 vaf (not good combo) and i pulled 15.5 and 15.3 easy :) Im still elarning tho.. i cant get tha hang of launching with the ze. How do you launch? what tires? i got 205 55 r 16 ehich is to big for mx3. Also i got bad engine mounts. :(

This is a biug facotor. I'm not sure about the timing system at Sparta or not. I ahve ZE with kl31cams, headerts, udp fidanza cai all the goodies I cannot do any better than a 15.2 at Cayuga. I went to St Thomas and could do 14.9 easily. I am somwhat happy I got a 14 but its not great. as Duncan said I would like to see a 14 at Cayuga then I will know for sure my car is a 14second car. 14.6 is what i'd like to see from my car. I know its capable of it.
Good luck

Launch is easy. Slip the clutch aroun 2500RPM once u egt it going floor it Bring first to about 7500RPM and hit 2nd as fast as you can. Shioft all the other gears around 6700-6900rpm.

did you do the ze swap u'rself?
a group of us are having a hell of a time getting into the 14s
so far the closest i'v gotten was a 15.1 at st thomas with no mods except the ZE and ECU.
since then i'v added CAI, headers, magnaflow 2.25" cat-back, CA bushings, ZX2 suspension.....and can only do like a 15.3
in the spring i'll have a proper clutch/flywheel, motor mounts, and proper rubber, so i'm hoping to b in the 14s

w00t.. shaved .5 of my times WITHOUT the ze ecu. so im at around 15 secs. Im sure probinator ecu will shave some tenths. :D Looking to fix rear mount and getting better tires. Tires are last tho.. these are still good. Im hoping to hit high 14 when the ecu gets here.
