Seat Swap???

Post by Bling Bling »

As you can see on my profile, I drive a 94 GS. I found a person that is willing to swap me straight across for a set of front 92-93 seats. They are in great shape, the back...not so nice. Should I swap for my 94's? I know the older seats have a more racey feel...almost like recarros. Thoughts!!??

I swapped my 94's out as well, the 92's are nice and they have a cool bolster, but they sit higher and it is slightly uncomfortable at times for a taller driver like myself, but they are worth it for looks and comfort.

Well...they were in rough shape and I am not interested in upholstery work right now. So I am still looking for a good set. Would even get a set from an SE if possible

Hmm, good luck with that. I know that I have a set of very good condition 94's at my house. But you may have to hunt around some wreckers to find some.

Gonna be hard. I thought mine were rough. I've been through about 10 MX3's at junkyards in the last year. They were ALL even rougher than mine except for a 95. They were mint. But you could tell there was ZERO bolster support on them, so I passed.

I have the 93 style seats in the front and left the 94 rear seat in. I had all of my seats recovered and just love them...

I have the 94 sliders installed with the 93 seats. A bit of drilling was required to relocate the hole on the slider to match up to the seat.
