Hey guys im the new guy in the forum..i have a 94' 1.6 DOHC mx3 that is a sea foam green..when i figure this site out a lil more i will post sum pics..nice car, bought it used with 75,000 orignal miles..runs great i havnt had one problem out of it..i want 2 do sum upgrades on it..but im not made of $..so i kinda have 2 do this limited..im only 17 and a senior in high school..so i kinda dont have alot of time 2 work..are there any ideas on wut i could do to make it faster?? its pretty much stock besides rims and lights..nothing to make it faster..but it will pick up the ladies as is..i just want to make it faster..thanks for yalls help..

I believe you can try swapping a newer 95 and up BP. Should be a plug in.

Please that does not look like a 1.6 vaule cover looks different as well as the stock header. The 1.6 dohc has that big looking trach can as a header i mean in stock form.

the only thing that looks diffrent bout urs n mine r the headers..n the fact that my valve cover is a shiny blace n it says DOCH 16 vavle

SO does mine say MAZDA DOHC 16 Vavle i just didn't paint the letter so it can be seen. so what u mean if u switch over to that engine u'll be in the high 15's low 16's 1/4 depending on driving skills.

ok i see the diffrence..where in the world would i find a motor that i could put in my car?? i have seen 2 other mx3's in oklahoma..n i drive everywhere in this place..n i can drag..my dad has me race his camaro in 1/4..he said hes 2 old so he has me race it now..i dont want 2 spend a crap load of money on my car..i just want a lil more acceration..i dont need top speed..i dont like being slow though..plus im not real good with cars..im more of a critch rocket man..thanx for the info tho..

Ask Custommx3. I believe he is doing a newer BP swap. Might have some good info for you.

thats what i was trying to get at gald u see the difference. How good are ur junkyards. mazda section big or at least can u find a 90-94 mazda protege LX model. look for a laters 94 model better suited swap for ur 94+ mx-3. i'll update laters

our junkyards r mostly full of honda n ford...n im not a fan of either or..but i can try n look..n ill give him a ring..thanx guys..glad i found this site..

Ummmmm Ford GTs have a mazda motor in it called a BP and comes with i think its 3 more HPs whoopdee LMAO
