My car got hit today.
Yeah so I was setting at a red light watching a cop setting across the street and the light turned green. I started to cross the intersection and the f---ing a-- hat in the other lane decided to turn in front of me. Long story short, he didnt yeild and fucked up the front end of my car. Good news is that the cop saw it all and it wasnt my fault.
My question is how much do you guys think it will cost to get it fixed and do you think his insurance will cover it?

yah insurance companies are D(#$ they try and give u blue bookblack book whatever it is value... for my car i paid 6300.. as soon as i got it i replaced the timing belt which is another 500 buck easy. so basically my car is worth 6800... i will not find a car in this condition for 5 grand there is no chance in crap... especially a v6 standard fully loaded those are damn rare.

Maintenance costs do not add value to the car. Those are things that need to be done to maintain the value of your car. Just because you change your oil doesnt mean your car's value goes up by 29.95Hoodzy wrote:yah insurance companies are D(#$ they try and give u blue bookblack book whatever it is value... for my car i paid 6300.. as soon as i got it i replaced the timing belt which is another 500 buck easy. so basically my car is worth 6800... i will not find a car in this condition for 5 grand there is no chance in crap... especially a v6 standard fully loaded those are damn rare.

his insurance has to cover it, the only way your car would get written off is if the a$$ damaged your frame to were even if it was straighten it wouldn't be "safe" you don't have to worry about it. when he hit you you should have gotten out of the car holding your neck and had the cop request a ambulance to take you to the hospital then you could have taken the bastard to court and sued him for pain and suffering and possably the loos of usage of your vechical if you can't get a rental.
but the good news it dosen't look that bad if i had pic of my old car i could have showed you bad it was $135 in damage away from being written off entire rear of the car was pushed in to the trunk to the point that my rear seats (lower portion) came unhooked from the floor ( got to just love ford escorts) it was a good thing that the 97 had a air bag recall and mine weren't working at the time if the would have blown the car would have been scraped in a heart beat by my insurance

Thats called insurance fraud. This is why insurance rates are soooo high. PS neck injuries are usually from REAR end collisions...reaper of souls wrote: when he hit you you should have gotten out of the car holding your neck and had the cop request a ambulance to take you to the hospital then you could have taken the bastard to court and sued him for pain and suffering and possably the loos of usage of your vechical if you can't get a rental.
