Easiest way to avoid viruses

Post by thedog300 »

I found the easiest way to avoid only spyware/viruses is to use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Since I switched around 2 years ago, I have reformatted my compuuter, used the Windows XP SP2 firewall, and no anti-virus. i just browsed with firefox, and I havn't gotten 1 virus yet.

it's all about how careful of a user you are.. if you only visit cerain sites and you know how to avoid download programs that could potentially harm your computer you won't need an antivirus. However Firefox provides good protection as most viruses are designed to target IE.. i personally prefere firefox because it puts me in control.. but IE is fine too especially IE 7. best way to avoid viruses is by being a smart user.
