That's a ridiculously good tip. I may have to try that on my friends prelude. Do you know if it gets hazy again pretty quickly or anything along those lines? It would be interesting to see if it helps for a longer period of time than the plastic polish stuff...

I tried both plastic polish and this mother's aluminum polish. It pretty much gives the same results but the mother's aluminum polish can be used on plastic (not recommended by the manufacturer, however it works) and aluminum. So I keep only one product for both plastic and aluminum insted of two. I also used the product for polishing my gauge cluster lens (plastic cover). I love this thing. I always keep an extra tub handy. I use it on all of our cars.

In my opinion, NOVUS plastic cleaner still works best - i bought mine on e-bay for about 13 bucks shipped. Its a 3 step process, but the stuff looks like glass when your done:

by no bake do u mean you didn't split it open and wipe the inside too?

yea pretty much. not yet anyways. as you can tell i have a broken bulb inside that light assembly still, it was a 50 dollar bulb, blah i was kind mad, i got a new one in there though.

Pretty much any abrasive polish will work. Ive even used Polishing compound and it works.

although pretty much anything will work, its amazing, cus there has been times where i sat there scrubbing the hell out of it and nothing even came off even a little bit.

i think out of everything i have tried, i have seen the most improvements out of Novus. but the best and fastest way is always with a buffer and a 2 speed drill.
