When looking for a clutch.

So Im starting my search for the parts to do a ZE swap. Ive read alot of people are using an ACT clutch but I was just wanting to know which one is most popular and when Im looking for a clutch, do I look for a MX-3 one or some other car that had a ZE in it?

93-97 Ford Probe V6 clutch is what you're looking for.

I have an ACT stage 2..its really nice but kinda hard pedal..not nice in traffic. but once used to it its not that bad at all

I have a Bully stage 2, that's been holding strong in the 3 years of torture I've put it through. When I get my tranny work done later this year, I'm going to get a new clutch while I'm at it, I'm going to try a Clutchmaster since I've heard alot of good things about them. But don't do with an OEM 2.5L clutch, I've heard mixed opinions on the stock clutch by even the Mx-6/Probe drivers.

I would consider the klde clutch a decent upgrade if your still using the a k8 motor. The clutch it self is bigger. But as for using it on a ZE go with something better. Chances aree if your putting a ZE in yourcar your going to drive it hard once in awhile and will need a nice clutch.

Ive heard ACT clutches are prone to cracking/ shattering

Does any one else use a grip force. Ive never heard of it but its pretty cheap compared to the ACT and clutchmaster I was looking at.

consider how much power you are planning to make then purchase accordingly. clutches from mx6, 626, and probes will fit

I got a grip force staeg 3 itsnice but started to "while" sometimes... maybe its my lightweight flywheel... made a ncie differenc e at the track.. i just a simple kf but its enough for taking out probe gts

the laungh is awesome and i get them right off the start.
