Another offer for projectors please read!

Post by projectmx »

I posted this before but due to other projector projects i didn't get much response so i thought i'd try again.... i ocassionally am incontact with a guy names andy ( http://www.cardomain.com/ride/450395 his protege) from the original protege tech yahoo groups and original protege forums ... he works with a company called A-toy ( http://www.a-toybodykits.com ) they do awesome work they made his body kit and projectors on his protege and i emailed him again today to see if the offer still stands to make projecters for the mx-3 they were with H-3 bulbs but he said if you don't want that you can do different bulbs on your own and the price he mentioned last year was about $400 / set including lights (might be tax and shipping is extra) So if anyone would be interested just post in here and give me a heads up.

Pics of the prototypes!!!!! (aren't completely done yet but very close)

not to be a downer, but this community has a bad rep for getting a lot of interest in group buys, but when the time comes to pull out the wallets, nobody is interested anymore. it's too bad because there have been a lot of good deals that have never gone through.

i would love a set of good quality projectors especially at that cost, but we would need more than just a bulb size to get a lot of interest. any idea of what they would look like?

i am going to talk to andy more about design.. i want to keep it relatively simple either design something like his proteges or somewhat like the civic lights where the inside is very open and there is plastic purely around the lights themselves and yes it would include everything and be a bolt on .... no cutting the hood.... no cutting the body .... i'm almost wondering if we could do something we we send them a set of headlights and they mold projector units into the original housing... i got an email back from him yesterday saying he would love to help still so i'm going to work out how to get my lights down to him since they don't have mx-3's in the philipines

thats the best part LOL people dont know what kind of car it is when u got them lights. the lensless projectors look nice also :) well imo. Also well civic projectors are a thousand times brighter than stoick lights and are VERY cheap. I doubt we could get nice projectos made for mx3 for less than 150 shipped.

no you won't get them for 150 unless you make them yourself... but honestly around 400 for custom made projector head lights that bolt in and look great and give way better light? i'd think that would be a good deal
