Cool Air Intake For My Purposes

Post by Custom_V6_Limited_SE »

Hey, I am trying to find a cool air intake that will free up the bolts used to attach the stock air box (and not use the coolant bolts). The reason for this is that I want to use them for an HEI mod and an external coil. I want to use the same setup as is pictured on here http://www.clubprotege.com/wil/howto/hei/index.htm

Also, what is the best way to take care of the coolant reservoir? Is there a good place to put it? What is the silver cylinder that's in place of the coolant reservoir in the pictures on that link? Is it a replacement for it? If so, where can I get one?

You can buy a coolant overflow relocation kit from autozone for about 10 bucks. When i made my intake I just drilled two holes and mounted it on the inside of the frame rail kind of down by the tranny. If you do a search for my username and integra intake you should be able to find a picture i posted on here and see what the relocation kit looks like.

I made a CAI, and i was able to use my stock coolant resevour, just moved it to the other side and you can't even tell it wasn't meant to be. I even used the stock bolt holes and it sits perfect in there. For pictures look on my car domain page 5

I just used a 91 integra intake and modified it to curve straight down out of the way so it gathers cold air from underneath the engine bay rather than the boxed area to the side....and I also have the HEI located where yur talking about. If you need pics, drop an e-mail at stephen@rodgerswall.com

Cheers
