Aftermarket radio keeps resetting itself

I searched for awhile to find this problem because I know it must have been discussed before but I found nothing. I just installed my Sony headunit and it wouldn't turn on unless I connected the Constant (Yellow) and the ACC (Red) wires together. Now everytime I turn on the radio all of my presets and settings are gone. Anyone know how I can fix this? Its weird to me because Ive done installs before and never had this problem but if I just wire it where everythings supposed to go it doesnt work. Thanks in advance for the help.

Check your constant yellow wire for voltage..

If you have to just run a new constant wire.
