How much PSI boost can the KL-ZE!

I am thinking about doing a small supercharger. What is the max PSI boost from a supercharger can the KL-ZE handle before blowing up? =) Becuase i was thinking about sticking on like a 5-7 PSI supercharger then start building up the motor for more boost.

If you have proper fuel managment as well as spark and a good tune 5-7 psi is possible. I am told the rods start to go around 300-350 hp (cant remember if it was 300 or 350) Just be careful on pre detonation.

Im gonna try running 5 psi on my ze (i dont plan on going over this) i will start out much lower and work my way up. Never know, if things go well i might try 6-7.

the ze can take 5-6 psi pretty decently. If nothing scares you can go 7-8 WITH PROPER FUEL AND TIMING !
I am going with 8-10 with water injection since my built bottom went to hell due of detonation.

Because this winter I am going to looking getting my kl-ze get some cam's for it and get a small s/c setup and then start building it up from there.

You u kl-ze guys What I would do is Alchol injection with no IC. With that kind of a setup you guys should be able to run up to 10psi. Well thats what the mx-6 an hour away from me is doing....

and that's what I'll be doing except WITH an intercooler too. Blowing forged pistons just sucks, no chance will be taken in the near future

Hmm im always worried about pre ignition..so i think ima keep my intercooler, and go with sumthing liek the stage one kit on that page. ONly prob i have to find a place to mount that reaking tank.

Wow that sux, rods and everything held up? What were you running, 20 psi with an intercooler and MS? Man must suck to have ruined those pistons. Im getting excited thinking about this water injection and me maybe running a couple more pounds of boost : )

You got plumbing, the tank...the pump...the nozzle (some controller for stage 2) and randome bolts and such. It wil work with our cars. Just gotta drill a hole in ur intake pipe near ur TB. I cant wait to get it up and working..gonna def add this to my setup now. Its cheaper than i thought and i need all the detonatioon control i can take.
