winter + bordem = headlight project
So I have always kind of wondered what an mx3 with blacked out lights would look like and since no matter how many times I posted on mx-3.com no one has done it. I took my spare set of lights and tried it
here are the results:
first a before pice:
now I used heatgun to seperate (came apart in about 15-20min a light)
products to clean the lights
Now I couldn't use the power metal as it really only works well with powerball and mine fell apart (mothers is currently shipping me another)
after 3 coats of flat black
so then i clean the lense a bit, 3 times outside 2 times inside (during this shitty Canada game this morning)
final results
no pics of them in car yet, comments are welcome
I am still not sure of my thoughts on outcome ....

Should look good and a great job on the painting and cleaning.
However, The MX headlamp is so shaped to fit the body lines of the car to some of us who are old school purists they might change the look of the front too much.
Sorta like my 90mm projector lamps. I still can't like them more than the OEM ones in the day time, but at night I know I would never go back.

What kind of glue did you use to seal them back up. I may do this to mine if yours look ngood. My car is black so it may go great with it.
Also my headlighhts look like the have spider webs inside them if you look carefully. So either way I wanna take them apart and do that. Also I ddon't want moisture egtting in them after.I can't stand that.
