Modifications for running boost on ZE

Post by Tommy D »

I am going to Turbo my ZE with the full Kit here.

I intend to do the MS at a later date but i intend to run 6psi on my KL31 ECU for a few months whilst i save up. To do this as far as i am aware i will need nothing except for Bigger Injectors, Millennia S 280cc or similar. Does anyone know where i can get these? or will my KL31 Injectors do for the mean time (dont want to run lean!) I have a Xedos 9 Inlet coming with KL68 TB, will this have S injectors or if not where can i get some from. I dont want to do too much at one go.

I will get it mapped at a later date so i can run the max reccomended 10psi and get rid of thet AFM/VAF so all is at final spec. I just want Boost asap!

Will this be a sensible approach or have i missed anything that will help? Its Advertised as a bolt on kit so i presume thats just it...? Thanks :D

yes it is a bolt on kit but you don't go nothing that involves fuel, you'll need a rise rate fuel pressure regulator (FMU) and a fuel pressure regulator (to use with the 280cc injectors)

you can fin some on car-parts.com but I don't they ship overseas

you need a fuel pressure regualtor that rises with boost or else it's useless.
look for FMU when searching

Right so then for converting my MX ZE to a turbo i need

The Complete kit from Oscar...
To Remove Boomerang shaped x-Member
To reweld the Engine Cradle x-member
To fit a RR-FPR
Fit my Eunos 800 IM, fit brown KJ 310cc injectors

Will that be ok for a big power increase without ECU, ie 250+bhp?

Do i need to get a MS2 done too? I will do MS2 eventually but it is so complicated if your not confident, and could get expensive! How long should a decent Tuning shop take to fit a MS2 from the box and set it up for a ZE Turbo, or can i plug it up and let pros do it in a matter of a few hrs.

Thanks for reading, i know im asking similar questions alot but its because a need concrete answers..........Tom

Am i correct? The FMU should save me having to f around with ECU and run 310cc KJ inj ok, Cheers?
